Our pricing

While the big networks have been raising their prices mid-contract for years, here at Tesco Mobile, we make sure our customers always have an option to freeze their price.

Each April, some of our basic monthly usage prices and basic monthly prices (depending on the contract type) are subject to an annual increase. This allows us to invest further, so we can keep providing an award-winning service. See What does this mean for me? below for more detail.

From 17 December 2024, we’re taking a new approach to annual in-contract price increases – to give our customers more certainty and to make things clearer and easier to understand. From 17 December 2024, these future price increases will be shown in pounds (£) and pence (p) at the point of sale, for the customer’s minimum contract period.

These price increases will be relative to each customer’s price, so will reflect their personal budget. This is a fairer way than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, where a customer on the lowest price would see their price increase by the same amount as a customer on the highest price.

Our new approach to annual in-contract price increases will apply to customers who take out a non-Clubcard Price deal from 17 December 2024.

What does this mean for me?

If your minimum contract period ends/ended before 1 February 2025, your basic monthly usage price or basic monthly price (depending on your contract type) will receive an annual increase from April 2025. We’ll be in touch with you via email or text between 13 February and 28 February 2025 with more information.

If you’re an Anytime Upgrade Flex customer and you’ve paid off your whole phone contract upfront, an annual increase to your basic monthly usage price each April will only apply after the first 12 months from the start of your phone contract (credit agreement/CCA).

If you’re an Anytime Upgrade Flex customer and you’ve paid off your phone contract early (but not wholly upfront), an annual increase to your basic monthly usage price each April will only apply after your original minimum contract period has ended.

If you joined us before 27 March 2023 on any deal, or if you joined us from 27 March 2023 on a Clubcard Price deal, an annual increase to your basic monthly usage price or basic monthly price (depending on your contract type) each April will only apply once your minimum contract period ends. (If you’re an Anytime Upgrade Flex customer, your contract refers to your phone contract – not your rolling monthly usage contract.)

If you joined us from 27 March 2023 to 16 December 2024 on a non-Clubcard Price deal, your basic monthly usage price or basic monthly price will receive an annual increase each April. This increase will be in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation published each January + 3.9% (as explained in your terms and conditions), until your minimum contract period ends.

If you joined us from 17 December 2024 on a non-Clubcard Price deal, your basic monthly usage price or basic monthly price will receive an annual increase each April, as shown in pounds (£) and pence (p) at the point of sale, for your minimum contract period.

We'll always let you know at least 30 days before we make any changes to our pricing.

How to get frozen prices

Offering the reassurance of frozen prices has always been important to us. So, if you take out one of our exclusive Clubcard Price deals, you won’t need to worry about mid-contract price increases – because we promise to freeze your basic monthly usage price for the length of your minimum contract period.

An annual increase to this price each April will only apply once your minimum contract period ends. (If you’re on an Anytime Upgrade Flex contract, your contract refers to your phone contract – not your rolling monthly usage contract.)

If you take out a non-Clubcard Price deal, your basic monthly usage price or basic monthly price (depending on your contract type) will receive an annual increase each April. These future price increases will be shown in pounds (£) and pence (p) at the point of sale, for your minimum contract period.

If your Clubcard Price minimum contract period ends/ended before 1 February 2025, your basic monthly usage price will receive an annual increase from April 2025. We’ll be in touch with you via email or text between 13 February and 28 February 2025 with more information.

If your Clubcard Price minimum contract period ends/ended from 1 February 2025 to 31 January 2026, your basic monthly usage price will receive an annual increase from April 2026.
