Swapping your number onto a new SIM card

SIM swap is when you swap your current number onto a new SIM. You might get a new SIM if you’ve got a new phone, moved on to 5G or lost your phone.

Here’s how to SIM swap:
From your current SIM card, text SWAP to 23424 and follow the instructions.

Do you need to change your SIM if you’ve upgraded to a new phone?

If your new phone takes the same SIM card size as your current SIM card, you don’t need to do a SIM swap. Remove the SIM card pre-inserted in your new phone. Then take your current SIM card and put it in your new phone.

If your new phone takes a different sized SIM or you have upgraded to 5G, you’ll need to keep the new SIM in your new device and do your SIM swap.

You may need to SIM swap if youve changed your phone or SIM card

If you got a new phone from a family member or you’ve bought another phone from somewhere else, you may need to SIM swap.

If your new phone needs a different sized SIM card from your current one, please contact us to request one.

You’ll need a new SIM if your old SIM was lost or damaged and you dont have your old SIM card
