Switching Pay as you go tariff
The easiest way to switch to a different Pay as you go tariff is through your online account:
- Log into your My Tesco Mobile account
- Go to My Tariff and select the tariff you want
- Click on Action
- Click Confirm
Or you can call 282 free from your Tesco Mobile phone and follow the prompts.
If you're on Pay as you go Lite, you can’t switch in My Tesco Mobile, so please call us on 4455 from your Tesco Mobile phone.
Have you considered Pay monthly Capped?
You can control your monthly spend with our Pay monthly Capped tariff, which gives you complete control over your monthly bill, with a little flexibility.
You pick a tariff; set a safety buffer over your tariff, which we call your bill cap; then even if you use things not included in your tariff - e.g. calls to 08 numbers - you'll still never go over your bill cap. Our smallest safety buffer is £2.50, but the smallest you can choose will depend on any bundles you add.

To switch to a Pay monthly Capped tariff, call us on 4455 from your Tesco Mobile phone. Capped contracts are available to all of our customers.
- It can take up to 24 hours to move you onto the new tariff, but we'll text when it's been done.

If you’re on a Pay monthly phone or 12 month SIM only contract, you can switch phone and tariff once you come to the end of your contract.
