Using iCloud

To back up using iCloud, you first need to connect your phone to a WiFi network.

Then, tap settings and scroll until you hit iCloud.

Tap Back Up, switching the slider to green, and wait until the process is complete.

Afterwards, head back to Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage so you can double check the date and time to see that your back up was successful.

Using iTunes

For an iTunes back up, open iTunes on your computer and connect your device.

Select your iPhone when it appears in iTunes and check you’re in the Summary field on the left hand side.

When you are, you’ll see the options to back up now and you can select to back up to iCloud or to your computer.
