What is Shpock?

Shpock, the shop in your pocket, is an online platform for instantly buying or selling second-hand or used items. It recreates the experience of shopping at a flee market by allowing you to search and scroll items nearby or post items you want to sell.

It covers a wide range of categories from fashion and accessories to property (for rent and sale) to baby and child goods. If you’re unsure what you’re looking for, simply browse items that have recently been posted in your area, giveaways, or see what your friends have searched.

Okay, so what if I want to sell an item on Shpock?

Creating a listing on Shpock is quick and easy. All you have to do is take a photo of the item you wish to sell, write a title and short description, and set a price. Once your listing is live, shoppers can ask you questions or make a private offer.

Shpock also allows you to boost your visibility by sharing your posting on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, SMS, or e-mail. After you’ve found a buyer, payments can either be processed through PayPal or on delivery and the items can either be delivered in-person or by post.

I’m ready, how do I get started?

To access the app., all users are required to register using their Facebook or Google accounts. For those registering through their Google accounts, Shpock requires that they also confirm their registration through SMS.

While this may seem like a lengthy registration process, it is meant to decrease spammer and scammer’s access to the site.  Shpock has strict privacy policies and none of this information is shared with third-parties.

Where can I get the app.?

Both Android and iPhone users can download the app for free. The app is compatible with both iPhones and iPads. Alternatively, the platform can also be accessed via a PC desktop or laptop.

While Shpock is primarily a free app without selling fees, it does offer sellers the option to upgrade to a premium membership which costs £8.49/month, 42.99£/six months, or £60.99/year.
