Get the party started with Heads Up! As featured on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, the aim of the game is to guess the word held up against your head from the clues other players give you. You could be a celebrity or a song, a film or an animal – take your pick from over forty categories and take a guess before the timer runs out.
How to play Heads Up!
To get started, one player holds the phone against their forehead and tries to work out what the screen says before the timer is up. Much like charades, players must articulate clues without rhyming or enunciating any part of what’s shown on the screen. The object of the game is to guess as many words as possible in a limited amount of time.
If you guess correctly, turn your phone face down to move onto the next word. If you’re stuck, tilt the phone upwards to pass. The app keeps a tally of how many correct answers you get and lets you know at the end, so you don’t need to worry about keeping score.
What’s great about it?
With a host of categories to choose from, Heads Up! can be played by the whole family. Little ones, in particular, will love putting on funny accents and acting out their favourite films for you to guess what they are. The app even contains categories that are just for kids, so you don’t need to worry about finding an appropriate one for them.
Heads Up! also captures a video while you play, so you can relive the hilarious mimes and gestures players make. You can even share these on social media to share the laughs with the rest of your family and friends around the world.
