Pay as you go Essentials

Keep things simple with Pay as you go Essentials:  a pay as you go tariff that offers 30-day bundles of data, minutes and texts.

Bundles start from just £5, with unlimited calls and texts on every bundle from £10 and up. (£10 minimum top-up is required for initial activation.)

After 30 days, your bundle will auto-renew from your available top-up balance. If you’re happy with your current bundle, just keep your balance topped up and your allowances will automatically refresh each month.

Don’t want a bundle? No problem, you can still use Essentials like a traditional pay as you go SIM. Without an active bundle, you can use your top up balance to make calls, send texts and use data, charged at our standard rates.

How do I download the Tesco Mobile app?

What can I do within the Tesco Mobile app?

1. Open the Tesco Mobile app and login if required. 

2. Tap on the 'top up’ option at the bottom of the screen.

3. Select top up by card then the amount and click Next to enter your details.

4. Now you can add a bundle. Or just use your balance for calls, texts and data, charged at our standard rates.

2. On the home screen tap on the option Add bundle.

3. You'll be shown a list of available bundles, choose the one you'd like.

4. Your chosen bundle amount will be taken from your available top-up balance.

Once you have added a bundle, you can switch to a different one at any time you like.

Tap the option marked "manage bundle" to select a new bundle. You can choose to change immediately, or on your next renewal date.

 

What can I do by calling 4488?

1. First you need a top-up voucher. You can buy one from any Tesco store, or online here.

2. Dial 4488 from your phone. 

3. Follow the options for adding a top-up.

4. When asked enter the 16-digit code from your top-up voucher.

Once you’ve topped up, you can use your balance for calls, texts and data, charged at our standard rates. Or you can add a bundle.

  2. Follow instructions for manage your bundle

  3. Listen to the available bundles and choose the one you'd like.

  4. We will take the cost of your chosen bundle from your available top-up balance.

    If your balance is too low, follow the steps to top up

     

How to check your top-up balance

  1.  Text BALANCE to 282. (This is free.)

  2. You’ll receive a message showing your top-up balance and any remaining allowances in your current bundle, if you have one.

Dial 4488 to hear your balance.
