  • How does this deal work?

    With this deal, you’ll collect an extra 250 Clubcard points in any billing month when you spend £30 or more on fuel in one go (and scan your Clubcard) at Tesco Petrol Filling Stations during your 12-month SIM only contract (minimum contract period). That’s up to 3,000 extra points in total – worth £30.

    Even better, these extra points are on top of the usual points you already collect when buying fuel at Tesco Petrol Filling Stations – 1 point for every 2 litres.

    Just make sure to link your Clubcard to your Tesco Mobile account using the Tesco Mobile app. Here’s how:

    1. Download the Tesco Mobile app from the App Store or Google Play
    2. Open the app and enter your Tesco Mobile number when asked. We’ll then text you a code
    3. Enter this code in the app within 20 minutes of receiving it
    4. Tap ‘Link your Tesco.com account’ to go to the Tesco login page
    5. Log in using your My Clubcard Account (Tesco) login details
    6. Tap ‘Link my Tesco Mobile account’ to go to the Tesco Mobile login page
    7. Log in using your My Account (Tesco Mobile) login details
    8. Done! Your Clubcard is now linked to your Tesco Mobile account
  • What is a billing month?

    A billing month runs from your bill date (the day you get your bill) to the day before your next bill date – it’s not a calendar month.

    When you take out this deal, we give you a payment date (the day we take your payment), but you can change this if you like. The payment date you choose sets your bill date.

  • Do I have to spend £30 or more on fuel in one go?

    That’s right – you have to spend £30 or more on fuel in one go. It cannot be split across multiple purchases.

  • Do I have to spend £30 or more every billing month?

    Nope! You’ll collect an extra 250 Clubcard points in any billing month when you spend £30 or more on fuel in one go (and scan your Clubcard) at Tesco Petrol Filling Stations during your 12-month SIM only contract (minimum contract period) — but it does not have to be every month.

    If you do not spend £30 or more on fuel in a billing month, you just will not collect the extra points for that month.

  • Can I buy fuel at any petrol station?

    It has to be at a Tesco Petrol Filling Station (there are over 600 across the UK), and you have to scan your Clubcard too.

  • Can it be any fuel?

    It can be any unleaded or diesel fuel from a Tesco Petrol Filling Station.

  • What if I drive an electric vehicle?

    Sorry, electric vehicle charging does not count.

  • If my family are on my Tesco Mobile account, can they use their Clubcard for this?

    The Clubcard number you give when you take out this deal – the one linked to your Tesco Mobile account – is the only Clubcard you can collect the extra points on.

  • I’m already with Tesco Mobile. Can I upgrade to this deal?

    Sure! You can upgrade to this deal through any of ourusual ways.

  • What if I’m a Tesco Mobile for Business customer?

    Sorry, this deal is not available on Tesco Mobile for Business accounts.

  • When will I get the extra Clubcard points?

    If you collect the extra Clubcard points in your first billing month, you’ll get them within 4–6 weeks of taking out the deal. For any future months you collect the extra points, you’ll get them within a week of paying your bill.

    Sometimes it may take a bit longer to get the extra points, so please allow a few days. If you still have not got them after this, please get in touch with the Clubcard team for help.

  • Where can I see the extra Clubcard points?

    You can see the extra Clubcard points in My Clubcard Account or the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app. You cannot see them in the Tesco Mobile app.

  • What happens after 12 months or if I leave Tesco Mobile?

    Once your 12-month SIM only contract (minimum contract period) ends or you leave Tesco Mobile, you’ll no longer collect an extra 250 Clubcard points in any billing month when you spend £30 or more on fuel in one go (and scan your Clubcard) at Tesco Petrol Filling Stations.

  • What is a SIM only deal?

    A SIM only deal gives you a SIM card with a set allowance of data, minutes and texts, with no phone included. You can get a pay monthly SIM only deal (SIM only contract) or a pay as you go SIM. Our SIM only contracts come with unlimited minutes and texts, and you can choose the amount of data and contract length you want (12 or 24 months), compare our best SIM only deals today.

  • What does SIM only mean?

    SIM only means a deal where you get a SIM card with a set allowance of data, minutes and texts, with no phone included. You can go for a pay monthly SIM (SIM only contract) or a pay as you go SIM.

  • How does SIM only work?

    When you take out one of our SIM only contracts, we’ll send you your SIM via Royal Mail Tracked 24 post. You can then put your new SIM in your phone and start using your data, minutes and texts allowances.

    When you order one of our free pay as you go SIMs, we’ll send this to you via Royal Mail 1st Class post. You can then put this in your phone and add a Rocket Pack of your choice, to get your data, minutes and texts for the month.

  • What happens when my SIM only contract ends?

    When your SIM only contract ends, if you do nothing, your SIM only plan will continue on a rolling monthly basis, and you’ll be able to keep using your usual data, minutes and texts allowances. You can also choose to upgrade to a new plan or cancel your plan.

  • Can I keep my number on a SIM only deal?

    You can keep your number when you take out a SIM only deal.

    If you’re switching to us from another network, you’ll need to get a PAC code and give this to us when you join. For more info, please go to our ‘Switch to Tesco Mobile’ page.

    If you’re already with us, please select ‘Existing customer’ when you take out your deal online, then follow the steps.

  • How can I check if I have a compatible 4G or 5G phone?

    We’re making big changes to our network. Like the UK’s other mobile providers, we’ll be switching off our 3G service later this year. This will help us improve our 4G and 5G network, so more people across the UK can benefit from faster, more reliable connections.

    You can use our handy 4G Calling tool to see if your phone is compatible. Simply follow the link, then enter the manufacturer and model of your device.

    This tool will also give you exact instructions for how to turn on 4G Calling (also known as VoLTE). The process varies for different phones, but it’s easy and won’t take long.

  • What if I do not have a compatible 4G or 5G phone?

    If you don’t have a compatible 4G or 5G phone, you will not be able to connect to our 4G or 5G networks. This means that after the 3G switch-off, you won’t be able to make and receive calls, send and receive texts, or use data without Wi-Fi. However, you will still be able to make emergency calls on the 2G network.
