We have three pay as you go tariffs:
All our pay as you go phones come with a SIM inside and are on our Rocket Packs tariff. Rocket Packs are all-in-one packs that give you the 4G data, minutes and texts you need. Your first top-up automatically turns into your first Rocket Pack. For example, if you top-up £10, your top-up will turn into a £10 Rocket Pack.
Call rates are the same on Rocket Packs and Triple Credit tariffs but with our Triple Credit tariff you get free credit when you top-up – which you can use on UK and Home From Home calls, texts and data. When you top-up £10, £15 or £20, we triple that top-up.
Our Lite tariff is great if you use your phone occasionally. It's a simple tariff with a flat-rate charge of 8p/min for calls and 4p a text.
Changing tariffs
Once you're with Tesco Mobile pay as you go, you can change tariffs:

Make the most of your pay as you go
There are lots of ways to top-up, wherever you are, so you can always get more credit when you need to. It’s quick, easy and you’ll collect Clubcard points when you do.
Yes, you'll need to link your phone to your Clubcard, by texting CLUBCARD to 28578 free from your Tesco Mobile phone and follow the instructions. You'll then collect Clubcard points each time you top-up.
You can order your free pay as you go SIM online or pick one up in-store.
Once you’ve logged into My account:
1. Go to My Tariff and choose the tariff you want
2. Click Action
3. Click Confirm
1. Tap the Tariff icon at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap Change your tariff
3. Select the tariff you would like to change to
4. Tap Change your tariff now to confirm

No-contract SIM with Rocket Packs

When you have a No-contract SIM, you can buy bundles of data, minutes and texts for the month without any contract. We call these bundles Rocket Packs.
To buy your Rocket Pack you can either set up a recurring payment in My Account or load money onto your SIM.

Rocket Packs last a month and automatically renew, either from your recurring payment or from money you’ve loaded onto your SIM. For example, if you get your first Rocket Pack on 5 January, it will last until midnight on 4 February. Occasionally there’s a short delay before your Rocket Pack is ready. Frequently asked questions
Top-up first, then straight after you’ve topped up, you need to buy your Rocket Pack. You can do this:

If you’re not on Tesco Mobile but you’ve already got a phone you’re happy with, you can order a free No-contract SIM and then get a Rocket Pack. Or if you’re buying a new phone, all our pay as you go phones now come on the No-contract SIM with Rocket Packs as standard.
Your first top-up turns into your first Rocket Pack. For example, if you top-up £10, your top-up will change in to a £10 Rocket Pack. Your first top-up needs to be £10, £15 or £20.
After that you can choose from any of our 5 Rocket Packs: £7.50, £10, £15 £20 and £30 Rocket Packs last a month from when you buy them. They automatically renew at the end of the month. You can set up a recurring payment in My Account to get your Rocket Pack each month or you can top-up each month.
Here’s where to order your free No-contract SIM
Straight after you’ve topped up, you need to buy a new Rocket Pack to make sure your credit isn’t used up as normal credit. You can do this:

- In the Tesco Mobile app
- By calling 282
- By texting 28948
- By calling Customer Care on 4455 from your Tesco Mobile phone
It can take up to 4 hours for your Rocket Pack to activate. We’ll text you when it’s ready to use.
Sorry, you will have to top-up again so you have enough to get the Rocket Pack you want, or you could get a smaller Rocket Pack if you have enough credit left. Then you can buy your Rocket Pack:

Triple Credit tariff
Call rates are the same on Rocket Packs and Triple Credit tariffs but with our Triple Credit tariff you get free credit when you top-up – which you can use on UK and Home From Home calls, texts and data.
When you top-up £10, £15 or £20, we triple that top-up:

You get free credit once a month and it lasts for one month. After this, your free credit expires. Your free credit is always used before any paid top-up.

You can get free credit once a month and your free credit lasts for a month, until your next monthly anniversary date. For example, if you get your first free credit on 5 January, you've got until midnight on the 4 February to use it. If you top-up before your anniversary date, you’ll receive free credit the following month.
It's the day when:
- You have to use up your free credit by
- You need to top-up by, in order to get free credit that month
Every time you use your device to make a call or send a text, we send you a message saying how much top-up and free credit you have left, as well as your anniversary date. For a reminder of your balance at any time, you can also dial *#10# free.
We'll text you five days before your monthly anniversary date to remind you. If you don't top-up, you can still carry on using your device as normal. You just won’t get any free credit. You’ll get free credit the next time you top up and this date will become your new monthly anniversary date.

Pay as you go Lite
View a full list of our rates (PDF). Our pay as you go Lite tariff is great if you use your phone occasionally. It's a simple tariff with a flat-rate charge of 8p/min for calls and 4p a text. Only existing customers can switch to the Lite tariff by downloading our our free app, online in your account or by calling 282 free.
