How to use Wi-Fi

Your phone or laptop might have Wi-Fi which lets you connect your device to a Wi-Fi network at home or one of many Wi-Fi hotspots when you’re out and about.

Connecting your device to a Wi-Fi network means you won’t be using our network to access data services. This means you won’t be using any of your data allowance or be charged for data if you’re on pay as you go.

To learn how to connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, have a look at our device guides. Select your device and then in the ‘Ask us anything about your device’ search box, enter ‘Connect to Wi-Fi’. You’ll then see the steps you can take to connect/disconnect to Wi-Fi.
