Topping up with a credit or debit card

To top up with your credit or debit card call 4444 free from your Tesco Mobile phone or 0845 940 0000 from a landline.

Follow the instructions and using your phone’s keypad, you'll need to confirm:

  • The Tesco Mobile number you want to top-up
  • If you want to top-up by credit or debit card 
  • Credit card number 
  • Expiry date
  • CV2 number (the last three digits on the signature strip on the back of the card)
  • Your house number 
  • The numbers from your postcode 
  • Amount you want to top up (minimum £10)

You'll receive a text message to confirm the top-up: ‘Top-up successful - your new balance is £xx.xx’.

If you have any problems entering the information, you'll automatically be transferred to a Customer Service advisor.

You can use the following UK registered credit or debit cards to top up:
  • MasterCard
  • Visa
  • Visa Delta
  • Maestro
  • Visa Electron
